We have bought a plot of land! Two acres – that’s around 8,100 square metres.
In the photos you can see David on our new land.
We bought it through a lawyer, with everything handled properly and officially. The land now belongs to us.
What we plan to do with it
We want to grow coffee on the land. Later on, the coffee will bring in money, and that goes straight to the children’s home.
The idea behind it: step by step, the home should become partly self-supporting and not depend on donations alone.
This takes patience
Coffee doesn’t grow overnight. It takes about three years before the plants really bear fruit. And first of all, it has to be planted.
That’s why we call this Phase 1: the land is ours. Now it’s time to start planting.
