Our land and centre – the day school for orphans and our children’s home, now on 48,100 m² right on Lake Victoria. A place where over 300 children learn, eat, play and flourish.

About our 48,100 m² plot
In 2023 we bought 30,000 m² of land right on Lake Victoria. It has since grown to 48,100 m²: 10,000 m² for the Bible school and 8,100 m² for growing coffee have been added. On it we grow plenty of food, and we have our own drinking-water well and our buildings and huts for the day school for orphans – a safe home and a future for children from the slums.

A place full of life & hope
On our spacious plot, the school, the children’s home, the fields and access to the lake come together to form a lively home. Everything the children need to grow up is being built here step by step – sustainably and with a lot of love.

Day School & Children’s Home
From nursery to secondary school
We teach over 300 children at our school with 12 teachers. The goal is for all of them to be able to write, do maths and read by the age of 18, so they can start vocational training or go on to our own vocational school.

What we grow
On our 30 ha plot right on Lake Victoria, we grow everything the children in the children’s home need. On top of that, farming teaches them a lot that would have been impossible in the slums.
💧 30 m deep well
Clean Drinking Water
In spring 2024 we were able to build a 30-metre-deep drinking-water well. Before that, the dirty water from Lake Victoria had to be boiled. Now everything is much easier – and the children can live much healthier lives.
🐔 50 chickens
Our Chicken Farm
In November 2024 we were able to build and start a chicken farm with 50 hens. Later on we will expand it further.
The chicken farm not only provides a more balanced diet, it is also another place where children can learn and help out.
