Verein Get It Done - Non-profit organisation
About Us
We’re not really missionaries, social workers or anything like that. Just two family men who were fed up with giving money to some organisation or other. Instead, we wanted to build something ourselves, right there on the ground. Together with Pastor David, that’s exactly what we’ve been able to do.
Our story began in 2023: we flew to Uganda, bought 30,000 m² of land and opened a children’s home there, with a school and fields for growing food. In 2025 we flew out again and built the Bible/vocational school. Today we own a total of 48,100 m² of land.
By now we are grateful for many more helpers and supporters. But we are most grateful of all to our Lord Jesus, without whom nothing would be possible – we say that loud and clear 🙂

About Us
Just a few Christians...
- ✓We are from Austria
- ✓We visit Uganda every 1-2 years
- ✓We do everything as volunteers and keep nothing for ourselves
- ✓We are believing Christians
- ✓Education, food, water & Jesus for the kids are what we care about
God has given us so much. We live by His grace. Materially we have too much – so much that it isn’t good for our souls. Others have so little; they have joy, but no bed, no food and no clean water. Let’s trade material things for joy!
In 2024 we then founded this non-profit association so that we could act officially, collect donations and win more supporters for this wonderful cause.
Helping the children there, who often had nothing to eat for 3-4 days, moves us deeply. Giving them food, a place to sleep, education, faith and joy is a great privilege and a great responsibility, and we take it very seriously.
our 30ha of land
What we grow
On our 30ha plot right on Lake Victoria in Uganda, we grow everything the children in the children’s home on the land need. On top of that, farming teaches them a lot that would have been impossible in the slums.
Maize
Oranges, mangoes, Jaqusi, bananas
