School Uniforms, Soap, Spades and Full Plates

A lot has been going on here lately. Here you can see at a glance everything we were able to do.

New school uniforms

The children have received new school uniforms. You can see how proud they are.

Lots of soap, underwear and sanitary pads

We bought a real lot of soap. Plus underwear for the children and sanitary pads for the girls.

Soap doesn’t sound very exciting, but it is hugely important: it lets the children keep themselves and their things clean. That keeps a lot of diseases away.

Rice from our own field

The best part: the children got food from our own field. Everyone queued up and collected a full plate of rice.

And yes, we were happy too. That’s when a bit of dancing happens.

Spades for the fields

We bought spades – the shovels for working the fields. We fitted the wooden handles ourselves straight away.

This makes the work in the fields much easier, and we can grow more. In the end, that lands back on the children’s plates.

And lessons carry on

Meanwhile, lessons continue as normal. A full class, everyone there.
